As a large-scale cell culture consumable, cell factories are widely used in biopharmaceuticals, vaccine preparation, cell therapy and other fields, and are mainly used for the culture of adherent cells. This consumable is designed with a multi-layer structure, and it is easy to affect the growth of cells if it is not handled properly. Pay attention to the following points when operating:
1. Preheating in advance: It takes a long time for a large incubator to reach the set culture temperature. Therefore, the cell factory and medium can be preheated before the experiment starts, which can speed up the speed of cell adhesion. It is important to improve the cell recovery rate.
2. Slow operation: Due to the multi-layer structure, bubbles are likely to be generated during operation, which will cause the medium to flow from the upper layer to the lower layer, resulting in uneven liquid level distribution and affecting cell growth. Therefore, the action should be slow when operating, try to ensure that each layer of solution is evenly distributed, and avoid large shaking to generate air bubbles.
3. Alcohol spraying: We need to use alcohol for disinfection during operation. When spraying alcohol, we should pay attention to the spraying range to avoid spraying on the breathable cover and affecting the gas exchange.
4. Horizontal placement: The shelf on the platform where the cell factory is placed must be horizontal, and the thickness of cells placed on the same layer is different.
The above are the four points that need to be paid attention to when operating the cell factory. In addition, operators must do their own disinfection work, pay attention to aseptic operation, and avoid introducing bacterial contamination and affecting cells.
The FAI climbed 5.9 percent year-on-year in the first 11 months of 2018, quickening from the 5.7-percent growth in Jan-Oct, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Friday in an online statement.
The key indicator of investment, dubbed a major growth driver, hit the bottom in August and has since started to rebound steadily.
In the face of emerging economic challenges home and abroad, China has stepped up efforts to stabilize investment, in particular rolling out measures to motivate private investors and channel funds into infrastructure.
Friday's data showed private investment, accounting for more than 60 percent of the total FAI, expanded by a brisk 8.7 percent.
NBS spokesperson Mao Shengyong said funds into weak economic links registered rapid increases as investment in environmental protection and agriculture jumped 42 percent and 12.5 percent respectively, much faster than the average.
In breakdown, investment in high-tech and equipment manufacturing remained vigorous with 16.1-percent and 11.6-percent increases respectively in the first 11 months. Infrastructure investment gained 3.7 percent, staying flat. Investment in property development rose 9.7 percent, also unchanged.
