To use a PC (polycarbonate) carboy, follow these general steps:
1.Cleaning and Preparing:
Before use, ensure that the PC carboy is clean and free from any contaminants. Wash it thoroughly with warm water and a mild detergent, and rinse it well to remove any residue.
If required, sterilize the carboy by autoclaving or by using an appropriate sterilizing agent.
2.Filling the Carboy:
Carefully pour or transfer the liquid or substance you want to store into the carboy. Ensure that you do not exceed the maximum fill line indicated on the carboy, as overfilling can cause spillage and potential safety hazards.
If working with chemicals or hazardous materials, follow the appropriate safety protocols, such as wearing appropriate protective gear (gloves, goggles, lab coat, etc.) and working in a well-ventilated area.
3.Secure the Cap or Closure:
Place the appropriate cap, closure, or stopper on the carboy. PC carboys generally come with screw caps or closures that provide a tight seal to prevent leakage or contamination. Make sure it is properly tightened or secured according to the manufacturer's instructions.
4.Transportation and Storage:
If you need to transport or store the carboy, ensure that it is placed in a suitable location or container to prevent accidental tipping or damage. Consider using a cart or carrier designed for carboy transportation if necessary.
Store the carboy in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and incompatible substances.
5.Maintenance and Cleaning:
Regularly inspect the carboy for any signs of damage or wear, including cracks, leaks, or discoloration. If any issues are found, discontinue use and replace the carboy.
Clean the carboy thoroughly after each use to remove any residue or contaminants. Follow the cleaning and sterilization steps mentioned in the "Cleaning and Preparing" section above.
It's important to note that specific instructions for using PC carboys may vary based on the manufacturer's guidelines and the particular application. Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions and any relevant safety guidelines for your specific use case to ensure proper usage.
The FAI climbed 5.9 percent year-on-year in the first 11 months of 2018, quickening from the 5.7-percent growth in Jan-Oct, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Friday in an online statement.
The key indicator of investment, dubbed a major growth driver, hit the bottom in August and has since started to rebound steadily.
In the face of emerging economic challenges home and abroad, China has stepped up efforts to stabilize investment, in particular rolling out measures to motivate private investors and channel funds into infrastructure.
Friday's data showed private investment, accounting for more than 60 percent of the total FAI, expanded by a brisk 8.7 percent.
NBS spokesperson Mao Shengyong said funds into weak economic links registered rapid increases as investment in environmental protection and agriculture jumped 42 percent and 12.5 percent respectively, much faster than the average.
In breakdown, investment in high-tech and equipment manufacturing remained vigorous with 16.1-percent and 11.6-percent increases respectively in the first 11 months. Infrastructure investment gained 3.7 percent, staying flat. Investment in property development rose 9.7 percent, also unchanged.
